Michele is a currently Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at the University of Utah, emphasizing in both Neuropsychology and Child and Family Psychology. She is working under the supervision of Drs. Judi Miller and Yana Suchy at the Utah Autism Research Project. Michele is currently working on a project examining the neurocognitive phenotypes of children with autism and their family members.
Prior to working at the Utah Autism Research Project, Michele was an undergraduate research assistant at the BDIL. In addition to her position at the BDIL, Michele spent time at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD working under the supervision of Karen F. Berman, M.D. Her research interests pertaining to the BDIL include: a) utilizing functional connectivity MRI in order to examine the role of the visual cortex during visuomotor learning in high-functioning adults with autism, and b) examining the asymmetry of inferior frontal and superior temporal gyri during a semantic decision task, also in high-functioning adults with autism. |
