Background & Research Interest

Mark graduated from Brown University in 2003, where he studied Economics and Psychology. After graduation, he provided clinical intervention and therapy to children and adults with autism, while working for the Institute for
Applied Behavior Analysis in Los Angeles. There he also conducted behavioral research on the efficacy of intervention strategies, under the direction of Dr. Gary LaVigna. Currently, Mark is pursuing his M.A. in
Psychology at SDSU, with an emphasis in Cognitive Neuroscience. His present research at BDIL uses functional connectivity MRI (fcMRI) to examine the functional connectivity of adults with autism, and Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) to examine the white matter integrity of children with autism.
