Bridges to Stem Cell Research Internship Program

Training the workforce of tomorrow in regenerative medicine

About BSCRIP

San Diego State University's Bridges to Stem Cell Research Internship Program (BSCRIP) trains undergraduate and graduate students to be the next generation of scientists in the field of regenerative medicine. Students learn the foundational theories and current methods used in stem cell research. After completion of the year-long program, trainees are well-prepared for careers in academia, industry or the medical field.

Through funding from the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine and the California state government, students are paid a monthly stipend to work at a host institution or biotechnology company, conducting cutting-edge stem cell research. In addition to receiving extensive mentorship, BSCRIP trainees participate in monthly colloquiums, research seminars and prestigious conferences.
