|SDSU STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY PROGRAM|
Who we are:
An informal association of SDSU molecular biology researchers who desire to improve their understanding of biomolecular function through experimental determination of macromolecular structures.
What we do:
We meet weekly to discuss structural biology research, techniques, and solve problems.
Where we meet:
GMCS Room 305 on Wednesday nights at 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Why we meet:
The overall goal is that regular attendance and active participation in this group will equip undergraduate, graduate, and faculty level researchers with the practical knowledge of how to plan for, initiate, and follow through on macromolecular structure determination by x-ray crystallography. These scientists will then be able to carry out structural studies in their own labs with access to and practical knowledge of the resources available through the SDSU Macromolecular X-ray Crystallography Facility.
