Rina Fox and Sarah Mills Awarded Health Professional Research Preceptorships

SarahandRina-600x300SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology students, Rina Fox and Sarah Mills, have been awarded Health Professional Research Preceptorships from the Rheumatology Research Foundation.  For each student, this includes a scholarship and guaranteed travel reimbursement to attend the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) conference next fall to present their work and receive an award.

Rina's preceptorship project will focus on identifying how sociodemographic and medical correlates of body image distress differ for patients with limited versus diffuse variants of systemic sclerosis.  Sarah's preceptorship project will focus on identifying groups of systemic sclerosis patients with distinct trajectories of functional disability over time, and identify differences in baseline sociodemographic and clinical characteristics among these groups.

Congratulations, Rina and Sarah!
