Srilatha Vhyda - Joined August 2008

Srilatha completed her Bachelors and Masters in Medicinal Chemistry degrees at Osmania University in Hyderabad, India.  Following some time working at the Aurobindo Pharma Research Center in Hyderabad she moved to Indianapolis to work on her Ph.D. with Dr. J. P. Reilly before moving down to San Diego to complete her graduate work with Dr. Harrison.  At SDSU Srilatha has undertaken the development of a number of capillary electrophoretic separation processes for the detection of blood doping agents as part of a WADA grant.

Stephanie Archibald - Joined January 2009

"I am a junior here at SDSU, majoring in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry. I joined the Harrison Research Group in January 2009. I look forward to working with capillary electrophoresis and seeing where it takes me with my knowledge of chemistry. Although I spend most of my time at school, with my little free time I enjoy being with my friends, listening to music, reading the same books over and over, and watching as many movies as possible."

"I am a junior majoring in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry here at SDSU.  I joined the Harrison research group for my first undergraduate research experience.  I am currently working on building an LED based capillary electrophoresis system.  While working in this lab, I hope to expand my knowledge and experience in the science world.  I plan to go to graduate school after I graduate SDSU and hope to one day pursue a career in research.  Outside of school, I love to play soccer, barbeque, and listen to most kinds of music."
Undergraduate Students:
Chelsea Green - Joined January 2011

I am a junior majoring in Chemistry at SDSU. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree, I hope to enroll in a graduate program and continue conducting research. The current research project I am working on involves separating red blood cells according to age using capillary electrophoresis. Other than school, my interests include traveling, snowboarding, and napping on the beach.
Ashley Morris - Joined November 2010

A San Diego native, Ashley received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from Stetson University in Florida. Having started her graduate work at Georgetown University, she moved to San Diego State University to finish her Master’s degree in Dr. Harrison’s lab.  She is currently conducting research using capillary electrophoresis to test ammonium and phosphonium based additives to effectively suppress the EOF during the separation.
Nikki Allen - Joined August 2010

I am a senior here at SDSU majoring in Bioengineering with a minor in Chemistry. To start my research experience, I joined the Harrison research group in August 2010. Currently my research involves separations with the capillary electrophoresis system. Over my time thus far I have not only grown my knowledge of chemistry, but also have learned lab techniques that will be necessary to continue further into research. I plan on going to medical school after I graduate from SDSU, continuing my research in the medical field. Outside of school, I enjoy friends, traveling, and hiking.
Dylan Mitchell - Joined January 2011

- To be completed
Audrey Nahrvar - Joined January 2011

Audrey is currently a junior at SDSU majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Classics.  After graduating, she plans on attending pharmacy school.  In the lab, she is currently optimizing the home-built capillary electrophoresis system for use in anti-doping tests.  Audrey hopes to expand her understanding of Chemistry through further exposure to new lab techniques and equipment.  Outside of school, she loves to snowboard, drive, attend concerts, and paint.
Shay Lin - Joined November 2011

Originally from Texas, I graduated from UT Austin with a B.S. in Biochemistry.  I'm currently in the Master's program where my research in the Harrison Group will focus on nanofluidic droplets for CE analysis.
Jack Fang - Joined October 2011

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Cal State Northridge. Currently, I will be working on the red blood cell project and the paper electrophoresis chips to see which one suits the best. Through conducting this research, my main goal is to learn and obtain the skills and techniques that an Analytical Chemist should possess and further apply the knowledge in the real world. Outside of school, I enjoy playing basketball, working out, traveling, listening to music, going to movies, and hanging out with friends.
