Configuring Your E-mail Client Software for Secure Transmission
Secure Transmission is achieved with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
technology, a cryptographic protocol that provides secure
communications on the Internet for such things as email. The
following documents are instruction guides, prepared by the Sciences
Computing Help Desk, for configuring SSL connections for Eudora and
other e-mail clients on various MacOS X and Windows platforms.
For questions, contact the Sciences Computing Help Desk at consult@sciences.sdsu.edu or call 619-594-4881, between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
