In this course we will outline the hydrodinamics and numerical foundations upon which the current ocean models rest, as well as to provide the initial tools for begginers to simulate the oceanic environment using the GCOM model. There will be exercises using GCOM with simpler and complexes geometries. Applications to the Gulf of California and Bahía de Todos Santos in Ensenada will be discussed.
