This course will cover several types of nonseparable wave prophagation problems
in the geosciences, including ocean acoustics, seismology, athmospheric waves,
and waves in porous media. Prof. William Siegmann (Department of Mathematics Sciences,
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and Dr. Collins are presently writing a book
on this topic that will be completed in time to use in the short course. Computer
laboratory sections would be very convenient for this course.
