Any Biol-515 student who composes a term paper that earns at least 180 points on the scoring rubric is invited to have his/her paper posted on this website. The student authors listed below gave Dr. Hentschel their permission to publish their original work on this site.
The student authors' early drafts were reviewed by Dr. Hentschel and two anonymous Biol-515 peer reviewers. Reviews aided the authors in revising their papers before the end of the semester. While preparing students' papers for publication on this site, Dr. Hentschel avoided the professorial temptation to make additional editorial changes; the posted papers provide an accurate example of the students' work! Dr. Hentschel did, however, make minor formatting adjustments before posting papers. In particular, the posted versions of these Biol-515 Term Papers are single spaced, rather than double spaced.*

* Students who are presently enrolled in Biol 515 and have read the Term-Paper Handout will surely realize that they are required to submit double-spaced papers. Dr. Hentschel is wise enough to know that if he didn't include this footnote, at least one SDSU student probably would turn in a single-spaced paper and complain "It's so totally unfair, dude, to take points off because the example papers on the web were single spaced."
