Lab Locker
Contains (per pair) (supplied by prep room)1 inoculating needle
2 inoculating loops
2 large white test tube racks
2 clothespins
4 plastic beakers
1 bottle immersion oil
If your lab locker is empty: Please fill your lab locker with the above items from the boxes of materials in the classroom. If you are missing some items from your locker, then replace them from the boxes or go to the preproom window for replacements.
Please Note: You will be assigned lab lockers (one per pair) for the supplies listed above. Only enrolled students will receive keys. Students should sit where they will work for the rest of the semester. Your lab partner is the person next to you. You will share a drawer and the lab locker.
Each student will receive a key from the preproom: The same keys opens the lab locker and the drawer.
Lab coats and materials such as slides, coverslips, pens, etc. should be kept in the lab drawer. You will need to roll up the lab coats to fit both of them in the drawer. You should not leave any valuables in the drawer when you are not in class.
The lab locker is just for the supplies listed above.
Back packs, book bags, etc. must be kept under your lab bench (in the knee hole). Do not leave these materials in the aisle. Water bottles and uncovered food, should be left in the hallway (on top of hall lockers is best). If you have way too much stuff that will not fit under the lab bench, you may request a hall locker from the preproom.
NOTE: Disinfectant and water bottles are kept on each lab bench (2 squirt bottles of each on the black shelf).
Refill the amphyl disinfectant from the container at the back sink.
Refill the water bottle with tap water from one of the sinks by the window.
NOTE: Only if hall lockers are available: The hall lockers are for "clean" items such as back packs, other books, and lunches. Please do not keep your lab coat in the hall. NOTE: For security reasons, it is best not to leave wallets or purses in the hall lockers. Keep them in the lab while you are working. Also, the hall lockers are for your convenience during class times. You should not leave valuable items in them for the semester.
