The Center for Behavioral Epidemiology and Community Health is actively searching for full-time Post Doctoral Fellows to participate in a multi-disciplinary research environment. The Center is affiliated with the Graduate School of Public Health, San Diego State University. We currently have no specific openings, but we are interested in fellows who can, with assistance if necessary, write their own fellowship grant proposal. GENERAL POSITIONS - FUNDING IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE - PLEASE CHECK BACK Duties: Collaborate with faculty and research staff to prepare NIH and other research proposals, collaborate with faculty and research staff to prepare peer reviewed research articles for publication, coordinate research projects and supervise research assistants. Ultimately, the candidate filling this position should establish an "independent" area of funded research. QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. in Epidemiology and/or Behavioral Science with substantive public health experience, including teaching, research conduct, grant writing, and coordination/management of large-scale community trials. Skills in data processing, statistical analyses and measurement technology experience, including direct observation measurement procedures, will be considered in the selection process. Candidates with experience working with low-income, racial/ethnic minority and culturally diverse populations are desired. COMPENSATION Research Associate Rank and Compensation will be based on experience, including peer reviewed publications, grant and teaching experience. Starting salary is $30,000 plus benefits.
