Understanding Seasonality and Interannual Variability of Biosphere-Atmosphere 13CO2 Exchange in the Southeastern Region of the United States

This project includes two study sites in the southeast region of the USA. Forests in the southeast USA have high production rates and are candidates of strong carbon sinks for the North America. Whole-air samplers have been collected for CO2 concentration and stable isotope ratio analyses in a deciduous forest located at the Chestnut Ridge, Tennessee and a savanna-junior woodland at the Freeman Ranch, Texas since March, 2007.
