MathWorks is the company which produces MATLAB. They have a student version for either Windows, Mac OSX or Linux. The MATLAB Student Version is available immediately at the MathWorks Store at www.mathworks.com/store and at campus bookstores. The MATLAB Student Version includes full-featured versions of

MATLAB 6.5 , Symbolic Math Toolbox (based on Maple's symbolic math engine) and Simulink 5.0.
