Current Projects
The PDC is composed of collaborating projects, which provide Professional Development for K-12 grade level teacher, the Improving Student Achievement in Mathematics (ISAM), funded by Qualcomm, Inc. and the San Diego Math Project (SDMP), funded through the University of California Office of the President (UCOP). Each grant is funded by Sponsors who have the same mission of improving education for students in grades K-12, specifically in math and science.
The PDC also has an additional partner which is the Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education (CRMSE). CRMSE is an interdisciplinary research center within the College of Sciences in collaboration with the College of Education. A major function of the Center is to assist faculty and doctoral students with educational research projects and to support faculty members in the preparation of grant proposals for external funding.
