Home
The Center for Research in Mathematics & Science Education (CRMSE) brings together researchers interested in studying how individuals acquire knowledge in mathematics and science. CRMSE facilitates and encourages collaboration among faculty members from departments of the College of Sciences and the College of Education. Faculty and staff of CRMSE are engaged in activities including research, curriculum development and dissemination, publications, presentations, and leadership roles. CRMSE serves as the headquarters for the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE), the leading organization devoted to supporting mathematics teacher education, and houses the Professional Development Collaborative (PDC)..
Our Ph.D. Program in Mathematics and Science Education (MSED), jointly sponsored by SDSU and UCSD, develops leaders of mathematics and science education at all levels of learning.
CRMSE sponsors a series of colloquia by distinguished scholars to provide lectures and seminars on relevant issues in mathematics and science teaching and learning. This program offers faculty and students the opportunity to interact with prominent scholars, and also provides a forum for disseminating and understanding these issues through lectures that are open to the general public.
Our online newsletter, The Quest, is published on an occasional basis.
